As a fire professional, Fire Safety Advisor (Competent Person) or Authorised Person (Fire) you may be asked to write or review fire strategies.

Taking a systems-based view, this course provides you with practical advice and guidance on the role fire strategies have in managing fire risk, especially in healthcare premises.

To explain how fire strategies may be used to support fire risk management.

Course objectives

On completing the course delegates should be able to;

• explain when a fire strategy may be required,

• outline how fire strategies support the RIBA Plan of Work.

• develop a fire strategy to support the performance (functional) requirements, and

• use fire strategies as part of a fire risk management system.
